Statement of Faith

At Scripture Scribble, our resources are grounded in historic Christian belief and a deep commitment to the Bible.

We serve families, churches, and educators from many Christian backgrounds. While traditions may differ on secondary matters, we focus on the core truths that unite followers of Jesus Christ.

The following statement reflects the theological foundation that guides our content.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s Word.

It is inspired by God, trustworthy, and the primary authority for understanding who God is and how He calls us to live. Both the Old and New Testaments reveal God’s character, His purposes, and His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ.

Scripture References:

  • 2 Timothy 3:16–17
  • 2 Peter 1:20–21
  • Psalm 119:105
  • Hebrews 4:12

God

We believe there is one God.

He is eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, loving, holy, and just. God is the Creator of all things and sustains the world by His power.

God has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — three persons in perfect unity.

Scripture References:

  • Deuteronomy 6:4
  • Isaiah 45:5
  • Matthew 28:19
  • 2 Corinthians 13:14
  • Genesis 1:1

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

He came into the world, fully God and fully human, to reveal God’s love and bring salvation. He lived a sinless life, taught with authority, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead.

Through Jesus, people are reconciled to God. He is the Savior of the world and the hope of humanity.

Scripture References:

  • John 1:1, 14
  • Colossians 1:15–20
  • Hebrews 4:15
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
  • Romans 5:8
  • John 14:6

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is active in the world today.

The Spirit works in the hearts of people, drawing them toward God, guiding believers, and helping them grow in faith, love, and obedience.

Scripture References:

  • John 14:16–17
  • John 16:13
  • Acts 1:8
  • Romans 8:14
  • Galatians 5:22–23

Humanity

We believe every person is created in the image of God and has inherent value and dignity.

Although humanity has turned away from God through sin, God’s love remains constant. He desires restoration and relationship with every person.

Scripture References:

  • Genesis 1:27
  • Psalm 8:4–5
  • Romans 3:23
  • Romans 6:23
  • 2 Peter 3:9

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace.

It is received through faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by human effort. Through Him, forgiveness, new life, and hope are offered to all.

Scripture References:

  • Ephesians 2:8–9
  • John 3:16
  • Romans 10:9–10
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • Titus 3:5

The Church

We believe the Church is the global community of believers who follow Jesus Christ.

The Church exists to worship God, share the good news of Jesus, serve others in love, and help people grow in faith.

We celebrate the diversity of Christian traditions while standing together in the core truths of the Gospel.

Scripture References:

  • Matthew 28:19–20
  • Acts 2:42–47
  • 1 Corinthians 12:12–27
  • Hebrews 10:24–25
  • Ephesians 4:4–6

Children and Faith

We believe children matter deeply to God.

Jesus welcomed children and affirmed their faith. We believe faith can begin early and grow through loving guidance, biblical teaching, and thoughtful engagement.

Creative expression — including drawing, reflection, and journaling — can be a meaningful way for children to process and remember Scripture.

Scripture References:

  • Matthew 19:14
  • Mark 10:13–16
  • Deuteronomy 6:6–7
