Arrive
Some faithful actions are recorded and then appear to be forgotten. Mordecai’s warning protects the king, enters the royal record and receives no immediate reward.
Read Esther 2:19–23 and then Esther 6:1–3. Notice how the small recorded detail later becomes important.
Reflect
Mordecai is attentive in an ordinary place of service. He recognises that what he hears is more than rumour because it concerns a concrete threat.
He reports through Esther, and Esther gives credit to Mordecai. Healthy communication does not erase the source in order to increase another person’s importance. Truth and attribution travel together.
The event is investigated before action is taken. Scripture does not offer this episode as permission to repeat every alarming claim. Serious information calls for responsible checking, safe reporting and attention to who may be placed at risk.
Mordecai receives no immediate recognition, yet the record remains. Faithfulness is not wasted because applause is delayed. We can tell the truth, document what matters and use the safest trustworthy channel available without controlling when our contribution will be noticed.

Pray
God of truth, make us attentive without making us suspicious, courageous without making us reckless and careful with information that affects other people. Help us speak through trustworthy channels and leave recognition in its proper place. Amen.
