The scene keeps Saul on the ground and omits the horse that later art traditions added. Its unfinished road gives the drawing activity a truthful focus: not spectacle, but a direction that must change.

Passage context
Saul has approved violence against Jesus’ followers and is travelling with authority to arrest more people. Near Damascus, a light surrounds him and Jesus identifies Saul’s persecution of the church as persecution of himself.
Devotional introduction
The page does not include the traditional horse because Acts never mentions one. Saul remains on the ground, interrupted and dependent, while the unfinished road points toward a process that will require Ananias and the church.
