Judah believes speed will save them. Isaiah describes a different strength: returning, rest, quietness and trust.

Reflect

The people’s refusal matters. The passage is honest about how attractive urgent action can feel when waiting exposes fear.

God waits to be gracious. Divine patience is not abandonment; mercy remains available even after poor strategies are exposed.

Guidance comes while walking: “This is the way.” We often receive enough light for correction rather than a complete map in advance.

Test direction by Scripture’s larger witness, wise community, truthful evidence and the fruit it produces. A claimed voice that demands secrecy, harm or coercion should not be trusted.
